A Lonely Halloween Poem

A Lonely Halloween by Crystal Campbell

On All Hallows' Eve a woman sat all alone,
so bored she wrote this poem then typed it out with her phone.
No more children at home for they all had grown.
No trick or treaters in cute costumes to greet at the door and
she thought to herself, "I can't take it no more!"

So she slipped on her PJ's and headed for bed;
there was just no redemption on this night of the dead.
She stopped by the kitchen to have a shot of Tequila,
but the bottle was empty so she just had Sangria.

Feeling good again she went to her room, where she saw him
laying there...her wonderful groom.
Halloween was saved and she was lonely no more!
Unfortunately, the alcohol kicked in and she hit the floor.

Damn Sangria!!!

Struggling Today...

The jogging trail was a bit difficult for me today.  There I was making my way around the pretty little lake, keeping my breathing in a steady rhythm, feeling the cool wind through my hair, and gazing at the deep blue sky that boasted a beautiful orange sunset ahead of me.  I made my first lap then kept going right on into the second.... I was about 1/3 of the way around when it happened.  My body began to lose slow down and no matter how hard I pushed I just couldn't seem to get through it...then my feet and legs began begging for mercy as my breathing became less steady and more labored.  It was time to face it... I just ran out of steam.  I had nothing more to give.  I walked the rest of the lap as a cool down.  I am rather disappointed but, at the same time, I knew this would happen sooner or later.  I know there will be days when I'm not at my best whether it be lack of energy, lack of sleep, lack of proper nutrition... etc.  I'm sure every jogger/runner has experienced something like this before.

The important thing is that I'll be right back out there tomorrow kicking butt!  Honestly, I believe some of it was lack of music.  See, I left my cell phone home this morning by accident.  I had no music to jog to... I believe music is very important in my jogging as it provides my brain with focus, helps keep me in rhythm, and is a HUGE motivator when I just want to give up.  I hope I never have to jog without my music again.  If you are a jogger/runner, please leave a comment on this blog telling of a time you ran out of steam during a run.  I need some feedback, encouragement, and good tips.  Well, I had better go get some good sleep now.  I want to be sure lack of sleep does not hold me back tomorrow.

Keep Pushing and Moving Forward!

My Weekend and Today's Jogging

I had an awesome time this weekend with my family!  On Saturday I hung out with my terrific beautiful niece Sandra.  We had lunch, did a little Halloween shopping and then relaxed with some Caramel Macchiatos at Saxby's Coffee.  It was a great time... my niece is a lot of fun to be with.  Later that evening we stopped by the liquor store and then headed to my brother's house where we played poker with him, his girlfriend, Stephanie, and my nephew Micah.  I never had so much fun!  Once we lost all our poker chips we hit the makeshift dance floor in the living room... after that well, it got a little crazy.  I can't speak of the details but it included Dog Cookies, My socks, a Chihuahua Cat, Whataburger, my brother's awesome Yellow Camaro, and 3 girls who were feeling no pain... LOL

On Sunday I didn't do much.  I was supposed to go out with another cousin, but the terd stood me up.  I will get him...  The evening could not have been better spent anyway as I just relaxed with my wonderful loving husband.  =)

Today after work I hit the jogging trail once again.  I'm excited to day that I reached another goal and made a new personal best!  My first goal was to jog the entire trail one lap without stopping which I did last week.  In fact ended up jogging just at 2 miles on Friday, (that's approx. 1 1/3 laps).  Today, I jogged my one lap and then kept going hoping to just do 1/3 of the way around again like Friday, but once again I surprised even myself.  My breathing was so good that I just kept on jogging and ended up jogging both laps without stopping!!  Wow!!  Two whole laps for a total of  3.4 miles!!  Yay Me!!  I reached my little finish line listening to "Wild Women Do, (and they don't regret it)" from the Pretty Woman Soundtrack.  Oh yeah!  Then I walked a third lap for cool down.  The best part was that when I finished jogging I wasn't out of breath... I wasn't even breathing hard!!!  Not to mention that we had some rain clouds headed in so it got really windy... can I just tell you that it is freakin HARD to jog against the wind????  Extra resistance for sure...but I did it!  =)  Now that I reached my second goal, I think I will hold at jogging two laps for a while.  Now I want to work on longevity and speed.  Maybe someday I will run a marathon.  I want to say that I would not have the drive, determination, breath or strength to do this without my Lord, Jesus Christ.  He is with me always and helps me every step of my way.  Thank you Lord!!

Also, I weighed in on Friday, 10/19, and lost 3 more pounds!!  That makes 7 pounds in the past month... Yay Me!!

Keep Pushing and Moving Forward!

Where I Jog

My Adventures in Jogging

Today I changed up my routine a bit.  I decided that since I can jog the whole trail one time without stopping, then I should just keep going until I can't jog anymore on my second lap, and then walk the rest of the way for a cool down.  So once I finished my first lap I just kept going and made it probably about 1/3 way around again... but that is at least 2 miles of jogging without stopping.  Yay Me!!

It's not easy pushing through the pain though.... I have to fight my body the entire way.  I push a little more everyday and my body screams at me "Stop!! It hurts! It hurts!!"  So I scream back to my body, "Of course it hurts!  You're fat!!  It's gonna hurt for a while, but just keep going and it will get better! Go! Go!"  It's a tough love thing, but my body thanks me for it later.  ;)    Everyday I begin my jog with Kelly Clarkson's song "Stronger."  That song gives me amazing strength... of course, instead of singing it to a man, (like she is), I imagine singing it to my body fat.  Haha!!  Yep, it's hilarious... try it, it will crack you up!  And it is totally motivating!!  Go Me!

Keep Pushing and Moving Forward!

I didn't run yesterday because I only got 4 hours of sleep Monday night, but I was hot on the trail today.  I jogged another 1.7 miles without stopping... this time on my first lap.  On my second lap I walked and jogged.  I'll be jogging both laps before I know it.  Yay me!!  The awesome thing is that I can control my breathing and when I stop jogging I'm not terribly out of breath.  Wow... everyday I push a little bit further and everyday I am amazed at what my mind and body can accomplish.  I am super excited and my energy level has never been higher... feels great!  I can't wait to see what I can do by the first of the year!  =)

My Adventures in Jogging

Originally Written by Crystal Campbell on Monday, October 15, 2012 at 11:39pm

I'm entering my second week of walking/jogging at a trail in Lewisville, TX.  I just cannot believe how great it feels to run.  I never thought that making myself work so hard would feel so good.  My lungs burn, my calves feel like they are on fire, my feet ache, and sweat pours down my face... and it is the most awesome feeling I have ever known!

When I was in Junior High School, my P.E. teachers made us run the track and refused to let us rest if we needed to.  I remember running until I couldn't breathe, (which wasn't far since I was a bit chubby), and throwing up on the sidelines as the coaches screamed at me to keep going.  I remember thinking that I might pass out and being very scared, but when I didn't keep going, the coaches punished me.  Never once did they ask if I was okay, send me to the nurses office, or call my mother to ask any questions.  I never knew what caused me to react like that when I ran, (especially in the heat), until I was an adult.  When my daughter was 3 years old, after being rushed to the ER several times, she was diagnosed with asthma by a lung specialist at Children's Medical Hospital in Dallas, TX.  At one of her follow up appointments I asked the lung specialist about the symptoms I had all my life.  They tested me and, sure enough, I was also diagnosed with asthma.  I was amazed my mother never caught it since it runs in our family, but since the coaches or the school never bothered to ask any questions, I'm not surprised.

All my life I would see people people jogging/running along paths, in marathons..etc.  I would watch in amazement and think to myself, "I wonder what it feels like to be able to run like that with no problem breathing, not having to stop and throw up, or pass out."  I secretly wished I could be like those people.  In my adult years I've spoken with a lot of people who assured me that it could be done.  They would explain how they could barely jog for a few seconds when they began their journey and ended up running marathons or at least 20 miles a day.  I just thought, "Those people aren't like me... I have asthma so I can't do that."  I allowed my illness, and sensitivity to heat, stop me from experiencing so many things in life and it became my crutch, my excuse.  Over the years I learned that I could deal with my sensitivity to the heat, (I'm very prone to heat exhaustion), by drinking lots of water while outside and to rest as much as I needed to.

When it took me nearly 2 years to take off 35 lbs, I almost fell into the mindset of well, I'm in my late 30's and it will be impossible for me to lose weight due to my hormones... etc.  That's what the so called experts on TV would have us think.  But... over the last 5 years, with the help of my wonderful loving husband, I have been learning to love myself again.  I have gained confidence in myself that I haven't had in 20 years.  The more love and confidence I gained, the more weight I wanted to lose.  Not to look good for anyone, but to be healthy.  I want to be here for my children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren...etc.  I never want to be a burden to anyone as I grow older.  The only way I can ensure that is to take the best possible care of my body.

I realized I needed help retraining my brain to know when my stomach was full, (something that was lost from so many years of overeating).  I began using Sensa just 2 months ago.  I knew that if it would help me control my eating, and not feel hungry all the time, that any exercise I did would be more effective. I must say that the Sensa is doing its job.  Then I realized that I turn 40 in just a few months so I decided that I wanted to lose as much weight as possible, (in a healthy way), by my birthday in January.  I began racking my brain to think of an exercise program that would help me reach my goal.  I thought of my nephew Paul who began running several years ago and is now in amazing shape.  That is when the light bulb went off!  But what about my asthma, the heat, what if I can't do it?  Well, my asthma has never been severe... I carry an emergency inhaler, but hardly ever use it and I'm not bad enough to be on preventative care, so I knew I was okay there.  I also knew that I would just need to drink a ton of water to in order to beat the heat.  Luckily, it is fall so the weather is mild, so I just decided to go for it.  I would walk, jog as long as I could, and then walk again.  I figured that eventually I would be jogging more than walking and the weight would just melt off.

Well, I was right.  I just didn't expect it to happen so fast.  After my first week of walking/jogging I found my jogging rhythm, began to jog more than walk, I began to see my body take on a better shape and my clothes are fitting more loosely.  This only motivated me to push harder and stay focused.  Today I began my second week of walking/jogging and another amazing thing happened.  On my first lap I had to use my inhaler and my lungs felt like they were burning, so I thought "This isn't going to be my day... this is going to be one of those days where I just can't seem to get it together and will have to make up for it later."  I ended up walking until the inhaler had a change to kick in and then began to jog... I fell into my rhythm and began jogging as normal.  I realized that I had just been too ambitious earlier and jogged too fast.  I was so proud of myself because I ended up jogging further than I had before.  Then something even more amazing happened.  After walking a bit I began to jog again... finding my jogging rhythm... and then found my breathing rhythm, (usually, I have to stop jogging and walk because I don't want to go into hyperventilation mode which would cause an asthma attack).   This time I told myself "I'm going to keep jogging as long as I can control my breathing.  I don't care if my legs hurt, my calves burn, or how tired my body feels... as long as I can control my breathing, I will keep going."  Well, I found my breathing rhythm and kept going... and going... and going.  My calves did burn, my body did get tired, and my right foot even started tingling and went numb for a few minutes, but I kept going.  I ended up jogging the entire path!!  A whole lap jogging without stopping!!  I couldn't believe it!  It is 1.7 miles around that lake!  Wow!  I never ever thought I could do anything like that.  I jog slow right now, but I know that speed will come later.  Right now I'm working on building stamina.  I know now that I will reach my goals... not just in running, but in anything I want to do in life.  Yay Me!   =)

Fabulous Weekend!!

This weekend was absolutely fabulous!  We kicked off the weekend Friday Night meeting up with my parents for dinner at one of our favorite Mexican food restaurants.  I'm not allowed to go into details about what happened... all I will say is:
One Margarita.....Two Margarita.... Three Margarita.... Floor....  LOL It was an awesome night!  =)

Saturday was a beautiful day!  We got a break from our 103 degree weather on Saturday with a nice 86 degrees and a wonderfully cool breeze.  It was a perfect day of fun at my niece's Scentsy Launch Party.  I learned that Scentsy is so much more than just candles and $117 later, I can say that everything from our house to our car will be smelling great!  My niece, Sandra, is so much fun and has such a wonderful personality that I know she will do great in this business.  I'm very proud of her.  Go Sandra Scentsy!!!  Saturday evening my husband and I decided to go get some Cherry Vodka, Limes, 7UP, and Cherry Juice to make some Twisted Cherry Limeades.  While buying the Cherry Vodka we also found Cake Vodka.  If you have not tried this...you must!  It smells and tastes exactly like cake!  It was such a beautiful night that we sat on the back porch sipping our Twisted Cherry Limeades and playing Greed, (a dice game), with my parents.

Today we got up early and headed to Grapevine for a photo shoot with a girl I work with, Michele,  and her little boy, Justin.  We began at the Vintage Railroad Station in downtown where I got some awesome shots with the trains, on the tracks, and some other fun little places in that area.  Then Justin changed into his Karate uniform and we went to a little cove I know at Grapevine Lake.  It just so happened that there were lots of sailboats on the lake which made for an awesome backdrop.  We had Justin in his uniform and bare feet.  He did some of this favorite kick poses and was just so darn adorable!  He changed again and we were off to my favorite place at the lake... a spot with lots of huge rocks to climb on and over.  There are so many possibilities at this part of the lake and it is simply gorgeous.  My husband Scott went along with me as my assistant and was magnificent as always.  I just can't say enough about him as he has lots of great ideas, keeps me on time, and was able to coax Justin into some places where he was a bit anxious to go at first.  It was a great photo shoot and we treated little Justin to an ice cream cone afterwards at a nearby Braums because he did such a wonderful job, (also because Scott used a "treat" as a bribe to get Justin on the last rock in the lake that ended up being an awesome shot).  My husband is a genius....

After we wrapped the photo shoot my husband and I were a bit hungry.  Being the genius that he is, my sweet hubby suggested a restaurant in Fort Worth he had been wanting to try for some time and off we went.  The restaurant was the Hunter Brothers' H3 Ranch. This is one of the best steak houses I've ever been to.  My husband had ribs and sweet thighs with baked beans, pan fried potatoes and roasted corn on the cob.  I had a salad with ranch dressing to begin my meal, then had the 12 oz. Ribeye steak with sauted mushrooms, pan fried potatoes, and a side of grilled shrimp.  Of course neither one of us finished our dinner, but it was soooo good.  We then decided to walk off all that food around the Fort Worth Stockyards.  There were quite a few antique cars on display up and down the road and we found a 1800's replicated stage coach.  Having never been in a stage coach before, we of course had to jump on in!  It was so cool riding in that thing and thinking about how it was once the only way to travel.  The ride finished just in time for the 4:00 cattle drive through the stockyards... wow!!  I was able to get some awesome shots of the beautiful longhorn bulls as they walked within a few feet of us.  It was so great!  =)   After the cattle drive we decided to browse a gift shop where I got my parents some gifts.... among which was a "RedNek Margarita Glass" for my mother... this thing was awesome and I knew it was her as soon as I saw it.  And, just as I had suspected, she was using the thing not 5 minutes after I gave it to her... it was like she was just sitting there waiting for it... LOL  I put a photo of it below.  When we left the gift shop we walked a few stores down to a cute little cupcake shop for a yummy dessert treat.

All in all, I had the best day ever.  I absolutely love hanging out with my best friend who just also happens to be my husband.  Actually, the entire weekend was great and I couldn't have asked for better weather.  Now I need to get today's photo shoot uploaded to my computer so I can officially get to work on the editing process... and then it will be off to bed.  I'm so exhausted!  But it is the good kind of exhaustion.  I hope everyone out there had a great weekend as well.

Girls Weekend

This week has been busy and fun.  I'm still working 50 hours a week and trying to catch some time with my baby girl when I can.  This weekend was a lot of fun.  On Saturday me, my daughter, and my mother spent the day together.  We played cards for half the day while my husband and dad ran errands.  Then we all went wandering about town and stopped to get my daughter's hair cut.  That evening we ate, (and me and my mom drank...the hubbys were there as designated drivers...), at our favorite Cajun restaurant, Razoos.  It's always a crazy mess when the three of us get together, but then add alcohol and well... lets just say there is never a dull moment.  On Sunday we begged forgiveness for our sins... <<just kidding>>... (but we probably should have).  Actually, my daughter and I spent the day together shopping and shooting pool at Main Event; then ended the evening at the movies watching the new Ice Age flick.  It was very funny and we enjoyed it very much.

My weight loss is also coming along very well.  I have completed my first week of Sensa and my first weigh in was Friday, Aug. 17th.  I lost 3 lbs!  Yes!!  I must say that Sensa is doing what it promises.  I noticed a change in my appetite just a day or two after using it.  I no longer get hungry in between meals and I don't have that "starving" feeling at dinner time which caused me to over eat.  In fact, sometimes I have to make myself eat just to get enough calories.  Needless to say, I love it!  I'm very excited and continue to do my part to help the weight loss.  I try to eat slower, chew better, and stop when I feel satisfied instead of waiting until I'm full.  I still working on the latter, but making great strides.

Well, my sweet hubby just brought me in some delicious dinner, so I'd better run.

Busy Times and Major LIfe Changes

Wow... I can't believe how long it has been since I've posted here.  So many things are taking place in my life right now... it's unreal.  For starters, I've been working overtime at my job for almost a month now.  We lost a person and the work load increased, so it's 50 hour work weeks for me until we get a replacement hired and trained.  It's hard, but I know that I will like seeing the extra $$ in my account!  There is also someone at work that drives me absolutely batty.  I've been letting this person get me angry and frustrated for a while now.  However, today I've decided to just be the change I want to see.  I have resolved to not get sucked into the drama, be as nice as I can be, and then drink as much as I can on the weekends!  LOL  <<JK>>

My daughter left two weeks ago to live with her dad in West Texas, (several hours away).  I missed her like crazy and cried, of course, after she left.  It's been hard, but she is happy and that is all that matters.  I do have to say that she kept in touch a lot better than I thought she would.  The highlight of my day is when I get a text or FB post from her.  She is here now to visit for a week before starting school.  I love her so much, but I do not think she realizes just how much.  They say that children do not really know or appreciate their parents love and sacrifices until they have children of their own... I guess that is true.  I have plans to just spend some mother/daughter time with her while she is here.  I just want us to have fun.

Okay, so I've been posting how I need to lose some major weight and all....  I've been trying for a couple of years now, but have only lost about 29 lbs.  Therefore, I decided to try something new!  Today is my first day on the Sensa plan.  Yep, that's right... Sensa.  I realized not too long ago that the trouble I have with losing weight is that my brain just doesn't tell me when I'm full.  I believe that I've been overeating for so many years that I've deactivated that "sensor" in my brain that sends the signal to my tummy that I'm full.  So I began looking for something that would help me to feel full faster and suppress my appetite in between meals.  I began searching and then remembered seeing a Facebook Post from one of my cousins stating that she was trying the Sensa program and was doing very well with it.  So I decided, "what the heck," nothing else has worked.  Also, I really need to get this weight off, so this is my last ditch effort before considering weight loss surgery.  I really do not want to have surgery, but I'm desperate.  I'm praying that Sensa will help me and I will continue to track my progress here as well as the Sensa site.  I was pleasantly surprised to find out, once I ordered the Sensa, that there is a huge Sensa Community with lots of support.  It is very private and only for those on the Sensa program.  I love it... so far I can see that it has worked for many many people.  I hope to be one of the many it does work for.  I will post all about my Sensa Journey here with brutal honesty.  I need to lose 98.1 lbs.  I currently weight 231.8 lbs. and my goal weight is 140 lbs.  Pray for me as I will need all the strength I can get.

On the business side, I have a few photo shoots coming up for a lady at work.  I will be doing a series of photo shoots with her uber cute little boy over the next few months.

Well, I think I've written enough for today.... I'll give your eyes a break now...lol

New Look....

I gave my blog a bit of a face lift and a new purpose.  All About My Business is now about my life as a whole...all my business.  I will post about my personal life, career, feelings, new adventures, goals...etc. as well as my business ventures.  I have so much going on in my life right now that I felt the expansion was necessary.  Especially since I noticed more and more personal things leaking into my blog anyway.  So this is the place I will bare it all!  (Don't worry, I mean it in a purely figurative way).    I will put information here that will not be shared anywhere else, so all who read my blog regularly will get special treats and rare insights into my heart and personality.

Today's Update: My husband left on Thursday for California where he is visiting his daughter and family.  He will be gone for a week and I miss him like crazy.  But I am having a wonderful time with my girls.  Madi is here visiting for a few weeks and it's been non stop noise, screaming, wrestling, and craziness...but I love it!  Yesterday I took Cheyenne, Madi, and Cheyenne's boyfriend, Johnathan to the Ft. Worth Water Gardens for a photo shoot.  It was so much fun although it was very, very hot...  I have placed a sneak peek below for your viewing pleasure.  There is much more to come so stay tuned!

I really hope you will enjoy my new look, feel, and posts.  Please share me on your social media and with all your friends and family.

We're back....

I had a fabulous time with my baby girl in Austin.  The ghost tour through downtown Austin was the perfect way to end our time there... The tour guide was fantastic and very knowledgable.  We learned a lot of history about the downtown buildings and the people who once lived there who supposedly now haunt those places.

While I am sad that our mother-daughter weekend is over, I am glad to be back home with my sweet husband.  I will be working on my photos this week and hope to have them done by the end of the coming weekend.  It is very challenging to work on my photos right now as my current computer is very slow.  I am in bad need of a Mac.... My life will be so much easier, and my editing so much faster, when I have an Apple computer.

Anyway, I am trying something new this week.  Today I began an all liquid diet.  I want to shrink my stomach and boost my weight loss.  Don't worry, I plan on doing this in a very healthy way so that I still get good nutrition.  My personal goal is to go for two months, but am curious to see if I can maybe push it a bit further than that....  I must say that although it is just my first day, I already feel more energized and less "weighed down."  Here's hoping for great success.  Wish me luck!  :-)

Until next time...

We Made It

After three and a half hours of driving, and my daughter pouting because she was hungry, (she was actually tired from staying up all night), we finally arrived in Georgetown.  We made our way downtown and had breakfast at a local diner.  By this time my daughter was finished pouting and was now in her "loopy" stage.  We sat there eating our "ok"  breakfast while talking to a cute baby at the table beside us, making our waitress laugh at our "blond moments," and laughing hesterically at silly things.  It ended up being the best breakfast we've ever had.

After the hysterical diner experience, we walked the downtown square.  I got a few nice shots of the area and discovered that downtown Georgetown has lots of antique stores.  I also learned something new about my daughter.... she loves antiques.  Awesome!  I haven't seen anything capture her short attention span like this before, (except boys of course).  It was great.  I was especially amazed when she happened across an old baby book from1910 and stood there pouring over each page of this unknown baby's first years.  I couldn't help but feel like we were snooping a little.  I just kept wondering how such a personal thing came to be at this small antique store.

We checked into our hotel and I relaxed by the pool while my daughter swam a total of four laps and then was ready to go back to our room after a guy walked in with his two little girls.  I asked her why she wanted to leave so soon and she said, "I wanted that man to spend some quality time with his little girls without me interrupting."  Then I said to her, "What about our quality time together," to which she responded with a big smile, "We are spending it right now."  My baby girl has such a wonderful sweet heart.  I grow more proud of her with each passing day.  I can't wait until my baby girl sees what I have in store for her tonight.  :-)

To be continued....

Away We Go!!

I am very excited about my long weekend getaway with my baby girl.  In just a few short hours we will be on the road headed to our "happy place."  I've packed a lot of fun into our itinerary but don't worry I do have some relaxation time planned as well.  =)

I especially cannot wait to put my camera to work as Austin is an absolutely wonderfully beautiful place.  I am also one of those people who love staying in a nice Hotel.  It somehow makes me feel very pampered and relaxed.  I guess I'm just a freak like that.

Sorry the post is so short tonight, but I need to get some sleep for our early morning departure.  Good Night All.... until next time.

Great Weekend

I had an absolute wonderful weekend with my family.  We spent all Saturday in Rockwall.  It is a very pretty town surrounded by a lake.  We spent the most time at "The Harbor" district which is a quaint area on the lake made up of beautiful fountains, upscale boutiques, a movie theater, and restaurants with outdoor seating overlooking the lake.  They also have a stage where live bands preform and lots of grassy spots to sit and relax.  Just behind all that there stands a light house where the boats are docked.  Rockwall has lots of great events going on there all through the summer months.

We saw MIB 3 in 3D and Madagascar 3 in 3D as well.  They were both great sequels which greatly surpassed our expectations.  We ate an early lunch at Snuffers which has the absolute best cheese fries ever, and dinner at a great Sushi place at The Harbor.  My daughter tried Sushi for the first time and liked it.  It is hard to get her to try new things, so I am very proud of her for going outside her comfort zone.  =)  It was a great day and I got some good shots of The Harbor's beautiful views and fountains.  I will post the photos this week once I've had a chance to put them on my computer.

Today I took my daughter shopping for a couple of things for our upcoming trip to Austin.  I'm taking her for a mom & daughter get away next weekend.  Things have been a little tense between us lately, so I'm hoping this will help.  Plus it is the last considerable amount of time I will be able to spend with her before she moves to her dad's the first of July.

Oh, and did I mention that I got my website back up and fully running??  Please go take a look and let me know what you think: www.crystalcampbellphoto.com

Getting back in the saddle again...

I've really missed having my website and blog going.  I can't believe the last time I wrote anything was back in October... wow... I'm definitely glad to be back full force.  My website is back up and running and now so is this blog.  I love my Facebook page, but it just doesn't have the same impact as a website.

I recently did a photo shoot with two young people in love.  Justin and Liz were a pleasure to work with.  I definitely get a warm and fuzzy feeling inside when I do a photo shoot with a couple in love.  Being in love is one of the most exciting and sweetest things in life.  They had their doggies in their "family shots" with them.  Children and animals truly are the most interesting subjects to shoot.  They are sweet, energetic, and so unpredictable.  Although it was hot the day of the shoot, we all had a blast at Grapevine Lake.  I think next time I'll bring my bathing suit so I can have a swim afterwards.  I so look forward to doing more photo shoots like this.  You can see the entire shoot on my facebook page, and some on my website.  Enjoy!!  Until next time....
